Farrow machines

These machines are designed for sows to farrow and to stay with piglets in the farrow boxes.
Depending on the type of a building and technology used “Variant” Factory Ltd. offers machines for suckled sows which may vary in size and structure.
The machines can be arranged either straight in the box or diagonally.
Boxes are made of steel hot-dip galvanized pipes.
There are safety bows provided in the machines preventing sudden lowering of sows and piglets to be crushed. Machines are equipped with separating bows p-roviding free access of piglets to the nipples of sows.
Different floor systems and boards made from plastic panels can be used in the farrow box.

Door fastening                 Door There are five positions of the width of box back side 492/530/575/613/658 mm. The length of the box without a feedbox is regulated depending on a sow size (1742…1906 mm). Safety bows. Possibility to regulate the height of the separating bows.

Before farrowing sows are placed into the farrow machines. There they farrow and remain there until the piglets reach the age of 3-4 weeks. At this age, piglets are collected from sows or "weaned", but sows are returned to be inseminated and after 3-5th farrows are sent to slaughter.

Farrow machines make it maximum versatile to product and increase the productivity of sows and piglets, provide comfortable conditions for cultivation. High-set separating bows facilitate free access of piglets to the nipples of sows that provides full-feeding and fattening piglets gain weight quickly.

Those who are planning the construction or upgrading of the complex of pig production, should pay great attention to minimize the loss of pigs caused by structural defects of equipment. Therefore, there is a special interest in technical solutions preventing sudden lowering of sows and piglets to be crushed.

Both parts of the machine are sliding that allows for adjusting the width and length of construction, based on a sow size.

The door of the machine can be opened outside and inside, depending on a sow breed, the internal size of the rear part of the box may be changed from 566 mm to 668mm.

All metal parts of machines have hot-dip galvanized anticorrosive coating, and all fixing elements are made of stainless steel for long-life service.

The machine is equipped with a capacious, comfortable to use, made of food grade stainless steel overturning feedbox which is very easy to clean and wash.

Individual machines are equipped with an overturning feedbox with 14-liter capacity made of stainless steel.

The machines’ design provides an easy access to a sow, optimal conditions for control and observation after each animal.
