Farrow box for sows. Machines for group sows management
Farrow boxes with machines for sows can be equipped with floor grates. 5-7 days before farrowing, pregnant sows are placed into farrow machines located in the boxes with height of 500-700mm.
Boxes are the sections from PVC panels, attached to the props made of galvanized square tubes. Props are attached to the plastic floor with fixing elements made of stainless steel.
In boxes farrow machines can be installed either directly or diagonally depending on the building project. There are nipple sipper tubes and watering bowls attached to the walls. Boxes are also equipped with a thermal screen and heating system.
Currently, on the vast majority of farms there are slotted floors to meet hygiene standards. Slotted floors help to reduce the sickness rate of animals, reduce labor and energy costs. Plastic, metal and concrete slotted floors are used. They are mounted above the baths for manure.
The premises for lactating sows with piglets can be equipped with combined floors: concrete slotted floor is used under a sow to drain away her extra heat, but the piglets are placed on a plastic slotted floor. Sometimes a sow is also placed on a plastic floor to create a shelter for piglets, which is heated by infrared lamps (the first 1-2 weeks) and a warm mat (made of polymer concrete, with water or electric heating). Plastic slotted floors, as the most hygienic and convenient, are installed in the premises for growing. To create more favorable conditions for piglets, some part of the floor aside is made of solid concrete with embedded heating elements (pipes with water, electricity cable). Sometimes a thermal screen is mounted above this part of the machine for better heat conservation.
Concrete slotted floors are used to equip the facilities for pigs in fattening as well as for single sows in farrow in groups and separately. Simpler heating system is used there, for example by means of heat generators powered by natural gas.
The floors made of primary low-pressure polyethylene with ribbed anti-slip are offered, size 600 × 400mm. The floors have a high chemical resistance: to the action of acids, alkalis, insoluble in organic solvents. They are easy to install (2 persons can lay 100m2 per shift). Galvanized steel bands with a long-life service are used. Such a system is proposed to the customer in several sizes:

Can be combined with the panels, heated with warm water, and cast-iron floors, also resistant to the corrosive medium and low temperature.
Individually selected boxes in combination with modern feeding on demand predetermine the highest efficiency in buildings. “Variant” Factory Ltd. can offer its customers the machines for group sows management convenient for cleaning and corresponding to biological needs of animals intended for equipping of both piglets of nursery site and feeding places. Two types of machines are used for group pig management. They are boxes made of cellular PVC panels (type 14) and cage machines (type15).

Depending on the target application the boxes can be of different size. The required size is provided by use of PVC panels which are attached to the brackets of different height. Flexible design under modular principle enables easy installation of the boxesdesired regardless of the construction features and dimensions of the building. The panel can be mounted at the necessary height pressing by hand. As a result there is a very strong partition which can stand against any strike.
There is a CaZn stabilizing coating applied on the panels which is resistant to chemicals and disinfectants. Rigid PVC and well thought double-wall structure provide optimal rigidity and special impact resistance.

There are two types of panels: with and without a flange. A flanged panel is mounted as the initial final element at the required height reached. This results in the perfect ending of the structure.

Wall frames and machine gates are made of steel electrically welded pipes 42x3 and transverse pipes are made of electrically welded pipes 25x1,5. All open ends of the pipes are closed with plastic plugs. The pin is made of a circle 12. All the rest elements are made of steel sheet of 5…8mm thickness. All structure elements are hot-dip galvanized as a protection against corrosion.
All fasteners are made of stainless steel.
